OTPEC-Q is currently undertaking a range of projects, including:

  • Working with Occupational Therapy Australia (at a state and national level) and other national professional bodies to establish incentives for occupational therapists to provide practice education and to promote the message that everyone can contribute positively to student education.
  • Creating a bank of videos that tell practice education stories from the point of view of practice educators, occupational therapy students and universities. These cover a variety of innovative placement models and highlight benefits for the students and the organisations involved.
  • Scoping the latest research on practice education to guide our resource development and inform our strategic plan into the future.
  • Developing resources for employers and organisations new to taking students on placement, including case studies and step by step processes to get organised and shape the experience.
